Welcome to the Chicago Minority Business Opportunity Center (Chicago MBOC). The Chicago MBOC is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce/Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and is operated by the Chicago Minority Business Development Council (CMBDC). For more than 40 years the CMBDC has been a premier organization dedicated to the advocacy and development of minority-owned business enterprises (MBEs).
Our service is simple, we assist minority businesses with:
- Seeking out business opportunities with corporations and government agencies
- Public & Private sector promotional services/marketing
- Business planning & strategies
- Business coaching
- Preparation of materials to secure financing for business expansion
- Best of all, our service is free!
Our advisory board, which drives many of our efforts, consists of executives from major corporations (such as BP, Pepsico, and Navistar) and government agencies who share our commitment to developing strategies to grow and strengthen MBE business. With a vastly growing minority population, it is imperative to develop and engage MBEs in order to sustain our global competitiveness.
